Media log page is up! A few entries have been added, feel free to look around ♥
First half of the book was difficult for me to get through for some reason, the plot isn't as strong as in the previous volumes. To this day, my favorite remains vol. 3.
But the second half was packed with action and events, so it was worth it. I started highlighting the moments where Milo makes his crush on Bisco obvious, for personal reasons...
As if that wasn't enough, Bisco and Milo fire an arrow together, and it leaves a giant rainbow trail in the sky. I enjoyed the moments they had together in this book!
Sabikui Bisco is probably my favorite japanese light novel series at this point. I love the characters and their dynamics soooo so much...
Honestly, the plot peaked in volume 3. In volume 4 and 5, the plot gets weaker, but I still enjoyed the stakes in this one. The boys get to help indigenous people fight against a non-binary monarch who wants to steal a source of power to conquer the world. Shishi is very cool though, but we can't forgive the crimes they committed.
I'm pretty sure most people who continue reading Sabikui Bisco past volume 3 do it for Bisco and Milo, because the author does not fail to deliver in that area... I'll never stop being a BiscoMilo truther!! All of their interactions are so good, they love each other, and I love them a whole lot for that!!
You see that one tweet about reading classic novels and realizing why they're classics? That was me reading Wuthering Heights.
This book was so captivating I couldn't put it down. It made me get back into reading regularly, that's how strong of an impression it left on me!! Everything in Wuthering Heights is so "raw" and passionate, I was super invested in the characters despite all their flaws. Would definitely re-read, and I'm not the type to re-read books.
So... I watched this one because I started playing the game, and figured out I should watch it for the lore.
The animation isn't the prettiest, and I guess they tried something new in adapting Komatsuzaki Rui's art style. Which is puzzling to me because they did it very well in the Dangan Ronpa animes and Akudama Drive.
Anyways, I got over it quickly. Some importants moments felt anticlimactic and I was surprised because of how... strangely? they were written. However, I was more invested in whatever Kazuki had going on than in the main character.
I'm glad Kazuki got what he wanted in the end. The anime made me appreciate him more in the game LOL.
Tasokare Hotel is one of my favorite mobile games. When I heard it was going to get an anime, I wasn't expecting much since most adaptations of mobile games aren't amazing.
However, it was a nice surprise to see that Tasokare Hotel got such a good production value! The anime is very pleasant to watch, and they even put references to some of the game's bad endings.
While the focus was mainly on how much of a freak Osoto Masaki is, Neko got to shine in the end, even if her personality was a bit weaker than in the game.
This season was definitely better than season 1. I did enjoy the first season, but I found it a bit weak in terms of overall scenario...
I have watched Katekyo Hitman Reborn and I know what kind of things Amano Akira is capable of. I also know her series have slow build-ups at the beginning, so it was GREAT to see Kamonohashi Ron's plot start to pick up during season 2!
I loved learning more about Ron's backstory, and making the secondary characters return made it easier to get attached to them.
A very fun, short RPG game! I really enjoyed the characters, their interactions are fun and their designs are super nice.
Excited to see what the next games will bring! I need to know more about everyone's backstories...
Dangan Ronpa being relevant in 2025 was really not on my bingo card, but this fan-game is really a beautiful love letter to the series.
It made me remember my Tumblr days, when we had to check that forum for DR1 tranlations and the traffic made that website explode... Fun times.
I definitely felt the passion and love poured in Project Eden's Garden. The characters are engaging, the references to other games/media were also super fun to spot (hello to my love, Apollo Justice).
I had some trouble during the chapter 1 class trial, because for some reason I had the good reasoning but didn't use the right evidence on the corresponding arguments? It was odd, but I got there in the end.
I cried so so hard watching this.
Like, everything in this movie was so touching. The movie adaptation was full of affection for the source material, which is itself a beautiful display of the creative passion. It shows the struggles, but also why creative people still pursue their endeavors, in a very, very relatable way.
I probably cried for more than half of the movie. To me, a piece of media is very very good if it manages to make me cry!!!
Please, if you get the chance, watch this movie.
